Required Concert Dates for 2019-2020

October 24, 2019 - 8th Grade band plays with Myers Park High School Band

December 17th, 2019 - Winter Band Concert for 6th, 7th  & 8th Grades

February 20th, 2020 - AG Pre-MPA concert - required for Wind Ensemble

May 14th, 2020 - 6, 7, & 8 Year End Concert at MPHS

May 15th. 2020 - Spring trip to Carownds Music Festival for 7th and 8th grade

Attendance is mandatory for all band students

Students receive a doubly weighted test score for attendance at concerts 

Plan now to have these dates available and attire ready to go.  

Concert Attire Dress Code

• Top: SOLID Black blouse with sleeves, collared shirt, or sweater

• Bottoms:  Black dress pants (no jeans, jeggings, skirts, or tights)

Feet:  Black socks or black nylons, black dress shoes.

Optional RED accessories

The band uniform is not a “costume.”  It is designed to be subtle and understated in order to keep the focus on the music.
